HTC has officially announced that its best handsets currently - the One X and One S - are going to receive updates to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean this month.
Although a more specific that wasn't mentioned, this is still some pretty good news for owners of these handsets who have the full right to enjoy the latest Android build, complete with all the new features and extra smoothness courtesy of Project Butter.
Of course, the software will come together with the HTC Sense 4+ UI - a slightly updated version of HTC's own custom interface for Android devices. Some will love it, others will hate it, but hey, at least all the goodies of the stock OS should remain intact.
This "October" time frame, however, is valid for the international versions of the One X and One S. Users of AT&T and T-Mobile will have to wait a bit more (not known for how long) until they get their tasty dose of Jelly Bean.
