A SunSpider test, where lower score is the better one, measured the JavaScript performance on three high-end phones - the HTC 8X,iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S III - and the results are nothing short of astonishing for the Internet Explorer browser.
Well, the HTC 8X came out on top, beating the famed A6 processor rendering of the iPhone 5 by a whiff, and staying ahead of the Galaxy S III by a huge margin.
This goes to show that with the IE optimizations in Windows Phone 8, and the dual-core Snapdragon S4 processors, the WP8 flagships are up with the best for browsing - if you don't come across an Adobe Flash-laden site you need to check out, of course, but this holds true for iOS, too, and for the latest iterations of Android as well.
