How Chinese police are ‘taught to smile’

CHINESE police are some of the best trained in the world. Their training is so thorough, in fact, that they are even taught how to gain the perfect smile. And as this picture shows, it is easy - just so long as you stick to the rules. During the ‘how to smile’ course in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China, customs police were made to practise by holding a chopstick between their teeth and smiling.  According to the Liaoning Customs Office the aim of the training was ‘to standardise officials’ amenity protocols and upgrade their receiving skills’.
