Checking your monthly phone bill made fun

Nowadays, wireless carriers will do whatever they can to protect you from experiencing bill shock. Sure, they are the ones who are causing it to us (or are they?), but since an unhappy customer can mean a lot of trouble these days, it seems it's not in carriers' best interest to upset you.

Carrier 3 has found a very cool way to remove the shock out of the equation for its Swedish customers. It has partnered with design firm Fjord in order to produce an app called "My 3." What this app does is to let the user track their consumed minutes and data using a set of tools which almost make this a fun affair. For example, using the My 3 app, one can see their data usage by time, neatly visualized on a graph. Or, you can see which of your contacts make you consume the biggest amount of minutes. Other cool features of the app let you view your usage for the past 6 months, or compare your statistics with the ones of the average user.
