Judging by all the rumor smoke, Apple should have already set the fire - the iPad mini is allegedly coming on store shelves on November 2nd, following an unveiling on October 17th. And now, we have pictures taken directly at a Foxconn factory in China showing for the first time a black iPad mini.
So far, the mockups and leaks we saw were all for a white version of the device, but the black one looks equally gorgeous. The design is the standard industrial Apple affair and the body seems very solidly built with an anodized aluminum back and a strip of plastic for the radios in 3G models.
So yes, obviously there will be a 3G version along the traditional Wi-Fi-only one. The iPad mini pictures below also clearly show that it’d use Apple’s new nano SIM cards.
The screen is once again confirmed to be 7.85 inches in size, but the in-cell touch screen technology for thinner display was not used on the iPad mini. On the bottom, there is the new Lightning connector, which also is not a huge surprise.
Head to the slideshow below for all the pictures, and let us know - would you be getting the iPad mini if it comes out early November?
