Today's news is all about 7 inch tablets it seems. You couldn't run fast enough to avoid the news of the iPad mini, and after all of that dust settled, it now looks like there's some news about the Nexus 7. It seems that the 8GB Nexus 7 has gone out of stock in the Google Play Store, and that has started up the speculation machine.
At this point in production, and still somewhat far from the actual holiday season, Google should be able to keep devices in stock if it wants, but the 8GB Nexus 7 is now listed as out of stock. That leads many to believe that we'll be seeing the 32GB model of the Nexus 7 announced soon, possibly even before the Android event that is scheduled for Monday in New York City, although it seems that Monday would be the time for it.
The prevailing theory is that the 16GB Nexus 7 will slide into the $199 price point, with the 32GB model at $249, then possibly other models that add on rear-facing cameras, and mobile data connectivity. We should find out soon enough.
